About The Role
Imagine yourself to be an early designer at Reddit, thinking through how online social communities should look and feel, and reflect the dynamics from our real life.
That's what we're trying to do at FrontPage — design a community experience that feels timeless and is yet deeply rooted in the nuances of our real life.
We’re like a Social Psychology Lab with a metabolism of a Rocket-ship. We have no end of fascinating human behaviour challenges that can only be solved by someone who is deeply curious, has an innate product & UX sense, great taste, and impeccable craft.
What You'll Achieve:
- Ideate product concepts that balance vision, craft, speed, and business potential.
- Craft detailed and intricate new product features with high focus, from idea to UX to pixel-perfect design.
- Partner closely with Product, Data, and Customer Success team to understand what each of our user segments need, want, and love about FrontPage.
- Perform user research. Dig deeper into the users’ core motivations and feedback loops. Know the pulse of the user.
- Evolve our design system tastefully as we scale and maintain coherency across web and mobile app.
- Challenge the best-practices, test them, break them, reshape them to fit the product’s personality.
You'll Need to Bring:
- 4+ years of UI and UX-related work experience.
- Relentless empathy for our users, their lives, and what they hope to gain from using FrontPage.
- Excellent interaction design and visual craft skills including some experience with prototyping.
- Demonstrated experience leading projects from discovery through shipping/iteration.
- Prior experience designing for rich mobile apps. Experience designing for social apps is preferred but not required.
- Clear, compelling presentation and communication style.
- Curiosity, self-awareness, humility, and a drive for growth, learning, and sharing knowledge.
