This message appears when attempting to place a trade in underlying indices, such as NIFTY BANK or NIFTY50. It’s important to note that this is not an error, trades cannot be placed directly in underlying instruments of Index. You can only trade in derivatives, such as Index Futures or Options.

To place trades in Index Options, follow these steps:

1. Navigate to Trade Lab.
2. Go to the Discover tab (located to the left of the Watchlist).
3. Tap on Option Chain to place your trades.

Alternatively, you can manually search for Index Options or Futures using the following steps:

1. Open Trade Lab.
2. Select the Positions tab.
3. Tap the blue circular button in the bottom right corner.
4. Search for your desired Index Futures or Options, such as:
   • Index Futures: NIFTY 31OCT FUT
   • Index Options: NIFTY 25000 CE

Once you find your desired option, enter the other trade details and hit Submit.
